Thank You for being a valued Popshops client!
Rakuten PopShops has an ongoing goal to provide more robust tools to meet the changing needs of all our publisher clients. As online consumers become more sophisticated, we are committed to improve our Product & Deal feeds APIs and our product comparison storefront tool, Curate for PopShops. Our focus on direct advertiser-publisher relationships is a key component of our service as a single source feed solution and we are dedicating our resources towards the enhancement of these relationships.
We have some important news. We will be retiring the Express service effective July 31, 2017. No new Express accounts will be allowed to Sign up, effective June 5th, 2017 but we will ensure that any commissions generated and validated will be paid out to relevant publishers . Please ensure that you have a valid PayPal account as this is the sole method of receiving commissions due through your Express account. It’s important to note that the Express API will continue to track referred activity, until final deprecation, but we encourage all publishers to join our partner affiliate networks and establish direct relationships with the brands you wish to promote.
Communication and knowledge shared between an advertiser and publisher is very valuable and is fostered through a one-to-one relationship. Clients who have established direct advertiser relationships realize an increased revenue opportunity by earning and retaining 100% of all commissions generated for sales they refer to any advertiser they are partnered with. They enjoy the ability to negotiate their commission rates based on their online audience demographic and buying preferences, traffic driven, and available promotional channels. The V3.0 API platform supports the advertiser-publisher relationship by providing access to ALL participating Advertisers (not available through Express), more relevant & richer data and a cleaner approach to building a comparison site through improved product matching.
For long-standing Express users, we appreciate your patience during this time as you make the transition to our advertiser relationship-based service – Data Pack . The feedback you and all PopShops clients provide is invaluable and appreciated. Our clients are a priority for our team. We will work closely with all clients to ensure the transition process is smooth.
